60km...paved pathways...no traffic...run it solo...run it as a team of five...

The Cross Calgary Relay and Ultramarathon (Cross Calgary) is entering it's 9th year as an event on the Calgary running calendar. The race is operated as a fundraiser for Hostelling International - Canada - Pacific Mountain Region.

This very scenic 60 km route begins at Baker Park and follows pathways along the Bow River past Prince's Island Park, the Bird Sanctuary, Carburn Park, Fish Creek Park to the finish at Mid-Sun Community Centre. There are two short out and back sections, one at the very beginning and one towards the end. Relay stages are between 9.5km and 16km. Due to the extreme flooding in Calgary in June of 2005, the route is subject to change depending on pathway repairs. Visit the route section of this website for detailed relay leg descriptions.
